The New George Culver Community Library
The George Culver Community Library will feature private study/meeting rooms, a larger community room, a teen area, greater accessibility, and ample parking as well as all the same materials, programs, and services that residents have enjoyed at the Sauk City Public Library.
Message from the Director
The staff and I are excited to begin a new chapter in the Library’s story in this beautifully renovated, unique historic building. As we strive to offer outstanding library service to Sauk Prairie community members and visitors, this new space will allow us to better meet our patrons’ needs. The additional six meeting rooms and small group study spaces will provide a better experience for those who want to have more private meetings or a place to concentrate on work without distractions. The larger community room will give us greater flexibility in what types of programs we can offer and the number of community organization members we can accommodate. We love that we will have additional outdoor space to have enriching children’s programs during the warmer months and patio seating for everyone to enjoy the open air. We are especially pleased the new location will be more accessible for those with mobility difficulties or disabilities. And getting to the Library will be easier with our central location in town--right on Phillips Boulevard and the Great Sauk Trail--with abundant parking spaces. The George Culver Community Library will continue our tradition of leading the way in technology services and digital products, while still providing a stellar physical collection. We look forward to sharing it all with you!
